Matching Grant
RI has restructured its Matching Grants program to take effect from July 1, 2003.
The Matching Grants or Humanitarian Grants program has now been streamlined into a few categories. These are as follows:
1. District Simplified Grants-
- This will take the place of the previously known Helping Grants, Humanitarian Transportation Grants, Community Assistance Grants and New Opportunity Grants.
- 20% of the District DDF will be paid in cash to the District to administer requests from clubs for this Grant.
- This Grant takes effect from 1 July 2003.
2. Individual Grants-
- This will be awarded to individual Rotarians and will take the place of the previously known Discovery Grants and Grants for Rotary Volunteers in connection with their travel costs to countries that have Rotary clubs.
- The amount of the grant will depend on the number of days away and the number of volunteers traveling subject to a maximum of USD 6,000.00 per group award.
3. Matching Grants-
- There will be two categories of Matching Grants. These are the minor grants under USD 2,000.00 and the major grants from USD 2,000.00 to USD 150,000.00.
- It is now very easy to apply for a minor grant.
- Clubs intending to apply for such a major grant need to study carefully the eligibility criteria. Kindly click the following URL for this information.
